Founded by Isabel Saiz in 2010 and based in a studio in Bath, family business Avenida Home aim to bring new and unexpected designs to home accessories, that are both beautiful and high in quality. Isabel was previously Head of Marketing at the paint and wallpaper manufacturer Farrow & Ball and has been in charge of the National Trust Home Collection and Delicious Art at the National Gallery, London. She has also been a winner of the International Design Effectiveness Awards. She now manages the Avenida brand and creative process. Avenida means avenue in Spanish, a word which is connected with the idea of discovery, aptly chosen given the brand's emphasis on innovative and original design.
The unique and characterful Avenida collections of tableware and accessories have a timelessly modern look and feel. Isabel collaborates with skilled artists and designers to create these exclusive collections, so sometimes a design begins as a painting or illustration before it is applied to a homeware design. Each Avenida piece is made from high quality materials, ensuring these items are as durable and practical as they are attractive. Colourful, quirky and modern, Avenida's home accessories make ideal gifts and stylish additions to many homes. Their Alice in Wonderland tableware collection designed by Louise Kirk is sure to be loved by fans of this popular story. Their charming and unusual Puddin'head range by Richard McAdam features animals combined with floral designs, standing out on different coloured backgrounds. The placemats, coasters, mugs, trays and plates in these collections are sure to be noticed and admired and can be mixed and matched to make delightful sets.
Hurn and Hurn are a leading stockist of the Avenida Home Alice in Wonderland and Puddin'head collections and offer an extensive range of Avenida home accessories.
